We use ours all the time. Really cool device. Saves us a lot of time and cooks a bunch of different dishes.

I have a normal pressure cooker. Does this do anything that a normal pressure cooker won't?

My wife bought one.

Why wouldn't you use it? It's so easy and fast. We basically use it to cook the same shite you would in a crock pot - just in 30 min or less instead of hours.

Pot roasts and steel-cut oatmeal alone make it worthwhile at $120, much less $70.

Wait, the instapot can cook something like that in 30 minutes? No more 6 hour crockpot?

It's pretty cool. Normally I'd agree with Salmon for a lot of kitchen gadgets/gifts, but this one really is cool. If you use a crockpot a lot it's a must have.

I also had an old crockpot without the start timer and didn't have much time to prep meals in the morning so I found I rarely used it. This completely cuts those issues out of the picture. Come home, prep stuff, toss it all in that basket or gloriousness and ready to roll in 30 mins.
