And S Eugene.

Eta: I don't mind the checkpoint. Just letting others know.

Another strategic police checkpoint in North Baton Rouge to show their presence in a high crime area; certainly not to collect revenue for the city.

you people act like there's robberies in progress 24/7. There is some down time, and this is when you ballers in your 1998 oldsmobiles will get ticketed for not having your inspection stickers up to date.

What's the big deal? Get your inspection sticker taken care of and you don't have a problem.

Police should work to reduce crime, not collect revenue for the city. It's people like you who support police tax collectors.

Tax collectors have a long and ancient history of being reviled worldwide. It's in the bible.

An increased police presence in a neighborhood doesn't reduce crime?

I'd be happy about it if i lived in Hundred Oaks (unless I was stupid and didn't get my inspection sticker renewed)

You could rob the house right behind the checkpoint and I doubt the cops would notice

Which is more effective at reducing crime: 1. Police presence in high crime area or 2. Inspection checkpoints in low crime areas? Now which one generates more revenue for the city?

You mean other than the fact that it is a completely worthless practice set up by the state to generate revenue?

Yeah, checkpoints never occur in North Baton Rouge.

Black people love to drink and drive just like white people and the police know it. Find a link from when they set up shop for inspection stickers at 8 am.
