What ever you do, sell it! My wife gave me one for an anniversary gift 12 years ago. It looks nice but that's about it. It keeps horrible time (runs fast) and requires $500-800 over hauling and tuning up about very 5 years. Mine is a financial anchor. If it didn't have sentimental value it would be a gone pecan.

Have not decided. Going to get appraised by jeweler and then go from there. Pretty certain it's not fake. In the box I was given, came the watch and a receipt for cleaning, oil, adjust gaskets. And that cost 420.00. Done by a reputable jeweler in Tampa. I will send someone a few picks if they'll post them.

Yeah. It came with a shaker. I guess for when it's not being worn. The repair bill is from July of last year.

Based on your description and the picture posted, I would say, if LN, probably around $3750-$4250.

With the diamonds for numbers?

You can look listen to the watch and it should be ticking 5 times each second IIRC

Listening to it , that sounds about right. There's a number on the inside of the band 62523 M 18 I think. I'm going to look that up and see what I find. Just wanna kinda have an idea so I know if the jeweler is being fair about its value.

I have a regular stainless Datejust from 1984 that was $3750, so you should be above that for sure

You purchased it for that? Or you had it appraised for that? I know I have a receipt with a lot of info but not everything. Like the "gemstone dial". What kind of gemstone is not stated. Serial number and all that is there now that I'm looking more closely at receipt.

The code on the clasp "D12" dates the watch to 1979. Something's off about the dial. It should say "Swiss Made" at the bottom and not just "swiss" - they only did that for watches made in 1999 and early 2000. I'm not saying the watch is necessarily fake, but I don't think that's a factory dial.
