My father is an orientation/mobilization specialist....he teaches deaf and/or blind and/or mute folks to live independently.
He dated a mute/deaf/blind women when we were younger. One weekend my siblings and I were visiting him in Lafayette. They hit the hay, but my siblings and I stayed up watching a movie....about half an hour later we hear what sounds like someone getting gut punched over and over, then it dawned on me what was happening.....took a while to that noise out of my head.

Got another one. I was newly married and living in NOLA. My father calls and says him and his new girlfriend were coming in from Laffy bc they had to see a specialist. In talking over the phone, he tells me this girl is only blind.
Fast forward to the day we agreed to meet. Me, my new'ish wife, my father and his fling (and the flipping seeing eye dog) were at the restaurant. I ask so what doc did y'all have to come see in NOLA that you couldn't see in BR or Laffy. Turns out the fling had two glass eyes, and one had been damaged and the only place to get replacements were NOLA.
Of course I asked, how in the hell does a prosthetic eye get damaged. My father leans back in his chair and says, "well, I literally f'ed her eye out". I thought my wife was going to choke on her steak and the fling was laughing so hard I thought she was going to pass out.
