Agreed. I was going to get a Macan Turbo but don't want to wait a year for it.

But I'm old and have nothing else to spend my money on other than travel.

Even the base Macan (which is still a 3.0L turbo) will be badass with 0-60 times around 5.2s, and around 4.4s for the 3.6LTurbo. I'm thinking about one for the wife next year.

Old man got the old lady a Cayenne Turbo in the mid 2000s. That car was amazing. But my mom, being a woman, couldn't truly appreciate how great that machine was and whined about it's size. Never have forgiven her for the loss of that car.

Because on a long road trip the XL Yukon would be hard to beat. And I wouldn't buy the Denali version. Just get captains chairs for the second row and the higher end stereo (which sounds pretty decent even though it's based on Bose). Put in a 160 gb Ipod and you're good to go. Be sure to get an a after market DVD player.

The German ones are nice and probably faster but there's a lot to be said for having a truck based vehicle as a vacation machine.
