It depends on the amount of gravity at your location.

No, it just wouldn't respond to tilting. You would have to jerk it around a bit.

No, it will respond to acceleration as it always does.

It's sad to a degree that this is exciting. The US hasn't launched a man into space since 2011. How regressive of the Obama administration.

no. If you moved it, the bubble will move.

Nah, most levels don't use water, hence the term "spirit" level.

Well, the country was having a few financial issues when obama took office.

Spending a ton of money on space missions probably wouldn't have been a popular thing to do.

Do you reckon that this launch was a spur of the moment thing just put into effect the last few months?

The country was doing well til recently.

it's sad that you people think there's any reason to waste billions of dollars in outer space. there's nothing there, and even if there were, you're never going to get to it. Even if you think and are committed to something worthwhile out there, at least wait until you can get there within, I don't know, 75 years bc right now you can't get there within tens of thousands, or possibly millions, of years.

What about asteroids within our own system that have trillions of dollars worth of precious metal?

We make no technological advances due to research in or about space? They just go up there and play space cards and drink tang?

It's sad that you think it's a waste.

Literally everything is out there.

I guess you're right. Let's stop the progress when things don't appear ready to pay off.
