Lots of great states and cities to live in. My top five would probably be (assuming I could get a job similar to what I have now and have a similar quality of life):

1. Tennessee: ideally Nashville, but would also consider Chattanooga
2. Louisiana: NOLA
3. Georgia: Atlanta or possibly Savannah
4. South Carolina: Charleston or Greenville
5. Virginia: Alexandria
