If I am looking along the I-45 corridor from The Woodlands into downtown Houston, I am guessing around 10 based on the google maps search I did.

I would die...

There was a Tom Cruise movie - I believe it was Vanilla Sky. Cruise is walking out of a Starbucks in whatever town the movie was filmed in and the camera shows a Starbucks directly across the street.

Always thought that was a funny (subtle) poke at Starbucks locations.

One McDonalds, three Subway franchises are all the fast food in town. McDonalds is by the airport, caters more to tourists.
