Now you tell me!
Mine lasted for 140k but didn't crap out all at once so I was able to trade it in. Now it's OPP.

2006 Frontier - I had this exact problem. Issue started at 91,000 miles. Cost me $3,500 and a promise to never buy another Nissan.

This happened to my 2005 Pathfinder at 61k miles. Nissan has known about these radiator/transmission issues since at least 2008. I took mine to the dealership because the gears were slipping and the engine was reving up on its own. I was told they couldn't find anything wrong (I was under 60K miles at this point). Two months later, complete transmission failure. They told me the transmission and radiator would both have to be replaced ($8,500) and they were not paying a cent as I was outside of the 60k mile warranty. I ended up taking it to an independent mechanic and had the transmission rebuilt for about $5k. Years later Nissan extends the warranty because the defect. They refused to reimburse me because the work was not done at an authorized Nissan dealership. I've been fighting Nissan on this issue for the past 5 or 6 years

I have a 05 xterra. Ive had this issue for about 3 years. Nissan refused to pay. I had mine flushed a couple times, and used some Lucas transmissioin fix. There are 2 or 3 computers that are in the transmission that have to be replace along with everything else. Local shop quoted me around 5k. That is more than my car is worth.

I had an 08 Pathfinder. The only symptom I had was the low rpm shuddering. Traded it in 2 weeks ago for a Toyota and the difference in build quality is obvious. Doubt I ever buy another Nissan.

We have an 06 Xterra and I'm losing coolant somewhere. I wonder if this is the issue.
