It's cute you're trying to turn this around to me being the one worried what other people think about a vehicle.

You seemed pretty angry with all the name calling. Or is that just how you behave?

You were either angry or you're just a crass and ugly individual. Which is it, sir?

Friend just got one (Toyota Sienna) for his family. I was shocked when I found the price was around $37,000.

I didn't realize they were that much. The van is pretty massive but for the price I would have gone with a crossover or larger SUV.

What new larger SUV you buying for $37k? They all start higher than that for the lowest trim levels.

Suburban, Yukon XL, Escalade ESV, and Expedition EL. None of them will ride as smooth or be as fuel efficient as a minivan though. And they all cost significantly more

My wife found some cabinets on a trading site and I went to pick them up. The guy I bought them from said that they wouldn't fit in his suburban. We had them in the Sienna with room to spare. But I sure don't need a V8 and a rougher ride. Plus I bought the van 2 years used with low mileage for around 22k.

I do believe you're the one that started taking this down the crass road.

Translating doors that can be actuated with touch of a button and won't smash small fingers. Why would anyone with small kids want that? That's insanity.

I was simply trying to be as descriptive as possible when defining the purpose of a minivan.

Are going to call me more names now?

You could have just said cuck like you wanted to. Let's not pretend you were doing anything other than that.

I've been trying to tell Mr Lunchbox not to care so much what I think about him.

If that's what you felt like you were being called then I apologize. I'm sorry. I didn't realize your minivan was a sensitive topic.

I don't have a minivan, but I'd absolutely drive one (especially if I got a great deal on one).

Why do you do this?

I'm married and kids are likely in the (near) future, they have a good amount of space, and get pretty good gas mileage.

Oh, and I couldn't imagine caring less about a vehicle and what others thought. It's a car. It gets you from point A to point B.

Considering I've not been uncalm the whole thread, I'm not sure what response you'd like.

No sure what you are asking...but if you are saying why would anyone want doors that open with the push of a button because of small kids then the answer is that there are safety locks that the kids cant open the doors while driving. Toyota just recalled a bunch of siennas because the safety feature was faulty.

Peck, can you objectively look at this thread and honestly say you're not judging others based on the vehicle they drive. You equate driving a minivan with being poor and giving up on life. Any sane person would surmise that you are coming off as glib and arrogant in this thread. You have lost the internet today, sir. Tomorrow is a new day, so make it a good one.

So why all the name calling? You seemed pretty upset? I think it's good that we weathered that storm and can now discuss things in a reasonable and considerate way.

Of course I am, but why would you care what I think? I think it's funny that other men drive minivans, but I didn't think Mr Lunchbox would become so angry.

You started it Mr "I just wanted to be as descriptive as possible."

This thread makes you look upset.

You made a stupid thread and started calling names from the jump. Nothing reasonable was coming from this thread, and that's just the way you wanted it to go.
