A friend of mine used to compete on the pro bass fishing circuit. He's a hardcore outdoorsman but said that was the toughest job he ever had.

Not really sure. Kind of just "fell into" my job.
Would've loved to have been an optometrist.
Shadowed one during the summer once, really liked it.
So if physics and organic chemistry and all that was not in the picture, that would be my choice.

Also wanted to do speech therapy.

Now I'm back to working on reports. But at least I get lots of vacation time! LSU ftw! (and actually, I love not having to deal with patients/customers).

i'm an accountant currently, maybe i can do accounting for the FBI?

The FBI recruited my UF tax law program, and I know people they recruited at the Ole Miss graduate accounting program. They like people who can "follow the money".

I am a tax lawyer currently doing an accounting/finance related job, if I could go back and do it all over again I would have gone into some kind of engineering. I loved math, so whatever type of engineering that would have put me in the most math classes

I'm not saying it's ok to drink in the cockpit, but we didn't spend thousands of dollars and the time building hours flight instructing and flying shite-box cargo runs to live a mediocre lifestyle.

If you breathalyze 10 people ay ANY job when they report to work in the morning, 9/10 will have a little alcohol on their breath from the night before.

any idea if they only recruit kids right out of college or would they be interested in a 32 year old CPA with a military background?

A BBQ pitmaster.
I love to bbq and build shite, so it'd be pretty cool to have a bbq restaurant and build custom pits for people. Then find some competitions to get into every so often.

That or a college football coach. If you get that first job you're in the good old boys club for life no matter how horrible you do, someone somewhere will hire you.

Recording engineer or music producer. I already have an engineering degree. I love music. Seems like a natural fit and I don't know why I never thought of it when I had the chance.

General Contractor. I've found that I'm really talented at building and remodeling.

I just retired from LEO profession so I could do it. I have plenty of good years left.

Check USA jobs or call your local field office. You are eligible until 37 with no military time and eligible past 37 if you are a vet. Look at other agencies as well as there are numerous special agent positions available at numerous federal departments and they are all paid on the same scale as the FBI.
