Hypothetically, you don't have to worry about a job. You and your wife have the same jobs, and make the same type of money you do now (in comparison to the cost of living in that area). Everything else would be subjective to the area you choose; schools, culture, politics, distance from family, food, etc...

Where would you go, and why?

For me; Coastal Oregon/NorCal

Colorado/Wyoming mountains: Vail, Co

Cape Cod/Martha's Vineyard

would probably be my top 3.

Oh man.. Southern coast of France. Maybe Spain. I want to live in some small village or town that's been around for centuries.

Definitely somewhere on the Mediterranean.

in the US? PNW or Alaska. I would love to live in the keys but I think I might get tired of the limited amount of space

If we are talking pure fantasy, and I just want to live somewhere beautiful? probably on an island off the coast of Thailand

Not a baller but did ok and the wife did better.
Been in Co for a while and traded houses around till we made enough to pay off the Co house and afford a house in Cudjoe Key.
