1. Not Listening
2. Note being proactive in family plans, (birthday parties, writing cards, planning a trip etc.
3. Seeing things that need to be done, before she asks
4. Not making her feel loved in some way or another.
5. Not telling her "thank you for all you do"

5. other ?

When you have a falling out, - words are spoken, and there is an uncomfortable silence and lack of peace afterwards, what do you do to restore harmony in the house?

All of the above

A more common one lately. If she sees me in any way content or relaxed I will hear about it.

Usually its just because I've been drinking - but ironically she's why I drink in the first place

1. the dog
2. having to ask me to do the same thing multiple times
3. my parents

she can hold on to anger a hell of a lot longer than i can (she's a woman), so i just try to move on quickly after an argument and hope she catches up.

Going on a cleaning spree out of the blue.
Not buying presents for people in advance and asking her to help at the last minute.
Getting mad at her for not doing more shite around the house.

Tell her that I love her, try to work through whatever it is, and ultimately just let whatever it is go if we can't "resolve" it. When we get mad at each other it is inevitably about something that is small in terms of significance to our marriage. Someone once put it like this: holding a grudge is like wanting to get revenge on someone but drinking the poison yourself.

I made the mistake of comparing her to one of her sisters

"Angie never complains"....I said it in a joking a way to get my brother in law laughing

well, let's just say that's a no no...

It's never about me, it's always about her.
