when we were younger (mid 20`s) my wife would get mad,furious mad, and would try to kick me, then quickly regain her self control. Well he first time i let it go, then one evening we were arguing and i was sitting on one end of the couch drinking a large glass of ice water, well she got to aggressive and kicked me...luckily i had a really large glass of ice water, situation never happened again. Just celebrated out 25th anniversary.

Yes. Chivalry was a code of conduct that placed expectations on men AND women. If women choose to toss away their obligations thereunder, they should not expect to be able to continue to rely on the benefits thereunder.

Honestly I don't know.
I never had a female seriously slap me so i cant give an honest answer.
A part of me says yeah I can control myself but I'm not sure what I'd really do if I were in that situation.

frick no. I have 60-90 pounds on any woman who would be in a position to slap me.
A man who hits a woman for anything other than the defense of his life or someone else's life is a bitch.

After that I feel you can defend yourself.
That does not mean pummeling the woman. That means you try to leave situation, or tell her to leave if it is your home. If she persists?? She should understand she may get struck.
