we have two assigned spots and a spot in front of our garage, the property has signs that warn of towing but turns out the management doesn't have a contracted towing company. The spots have painted on the ground our apartment number and everything, yet time after time jerks keep taking our spots and forcing us to park far and walk, first world problems I know, but we pay for those spots and aren't getting to use them. Any ideas on how to frick with these jerks parking in our spots to make them stop, anything short of clear vandalism that might screw us over long term. TIA

Block them in?

Or buy your own tickets.

blocking them was something we thought of, yet the way the parking lot is shaped, if I did that we would also be blocking in alot of other people that could be legally parked

Leave a typed note on their car saying the next time they park in those spots - They will be towed.

Put an ad on Craigslist saying that you are giving away a free monkey and put their contact info.

If you have assigned spots that are numbered or that are payed for or whatever that's your leased property. People parking there-- that's no different than you coming home everyday and finding them sitting in your apartment on the couch.

Would you run to your landlord if they were in your apartment?

No, you just call the law let them handle it. It's criminal trespass.

The first time they come out they will warn them probably. Maybe not. But after that if it ever happens again they will be arrested.

You don't need to involve the landlord at all.

are you a lawyer? no joke I've read conflicting things saying since it's private property and I'm only leasing the landlord or management only has authority to tow, and even if they tow they have to pay for the tow not charging the person who parked wrongly in the first place.

How about you grow up and ask them to stop parking there? Wow.

Trust me if I knew who they were I would confront them, but we show up and there is a car in our spot with nobody there to confront, and there are countless apartments around and we have knocked on doors and nobody wants to own up to it.

You actually went knocking on people's doors about this? Bad move.

Just leave a note on their car saying that if they keep parking there you will notify management. Talk with management about this issue.

Yes.

Call the law or whip their arse but don't do anything to damage their car or any other stunts.

You have two assigned spots, 1 garage and 1 space behind the garage? 4 spaces?

Is it the same person parking in your spot(s) or different people every time?
