it's illegal in Louisiana to sext anyone under the age of 18

To send pictures yes. But 17 is the age of consent in Louisiana. So if no pictures were sent then no law would have been broken.

was never charged

Neither has Yenni been. I'm not sure if his investigation is over but it would seem late in the game for a charge to come out now given that everyone knows the details.
Also if anything I guess it shows how much a politician can get away with in the legal world.

Pictures were sent. Hence the reason why the FBI is involved.

Do you know Yenni personally?

To tell a guy to straight up kill himself is a bit harsh.

------------------------------------------------------------

I do not know Yenni personally. I grew up in Metairie at the time his grandfather and uncle, the real Mike Yennis, were running the show in Kenner and JP.

I don't give a frick what this guy does with himself. My point is that he presented himself as a reform politician who was church going family man. Mr. Squeaky Clean.

Now the public comes to find out that he's completely full of shite and essentially leading a double life. He could have been hard legging seniors at Mount Carmel and the public reaction would be ALMOST as bad.

He's finished politically. Who knows WTF his family is thinking, but I'd guess his wife is very unhappy. The Archdiocese has already told him to stay away from all Catholic school activities. What do you think the Navy thinks about one of their reserve officers hitting on 17 year old boys at a commencement luncheon? I suspect he won't be in the Navy Reserve much longer.

He's not going to be able to wash this stink off. I don't see much of a future for him, professionally, socially, or personally around here.

I wouldn't be so sure. Im certain this would be a sticking point in any political race for him in the future but Vitter made out alright. Granted he lost the governors race but probably could've kept his senate seat.

Oh, his political career is over.

The quote is: "The only way you will get a Louisiana jury to convict me is to catch me in bed with a DEAD girl or a live boy."

He can always change his name back to Michael Maunoir and no one would know who he was.

That's pretty ironic considering the number of priests who have been hitting on young boys for decades now.

I feel awful for his wife. She probably thought he was a great guy and that she had it made.

You shouldn't
Word is that she knew about his dalliances

Um, that's the reason for the new rule. Zero tolerance + age of consent in the Church was raised to 18.

Point is to prevent future incidents.

No, nothing has been mentioned about pictures being sent. I'm sure the kid would have mentioned if they were. My understanding is that the FBI is investigating him for obscenity towards a minor in the texts.

I asked last time with no luck but does anyone have pics of her? Given her husbands transgressions, I might stand a shot.

Ran into them briefly Sunday in the neighborhood, Mrs. Yenni seemed hesitant before I said hello but they seemed fairly content. Just heading to the gym with the body guard per usual. I'd have more respect for the guy if he just admitted what he did was wrong and resigned, instead of giving us this "won't affect my job in governing" shite. But what do you expect from Politicians? They have the same moral compass as most celebs do.

Really? The "Christian" thing to do...turn your back on someone when they are at most in need...doesn't sound too Jesus "like" to me.
