Dirty Mike, I think I have received your message on MK watches. She has a "quality" watch. I am looking for something "pretty yet functional" to go with the emerald necklace I got her. I assumed emeralds on a timepiece would be beyond my price range, so I am going more for emeralds on a functional fashion piece.

I looked at other emerald jewelry, but to get the quality I would want for an item where the emerald was the focus, the items were either really small, really expensive, or in some cases both. That's why I moved to a watch, where it could be created or emerald crystal. Emeralds suck.

Please, don't get her a Michael Kors watch. It's made by fossil, so instead of spending double if not triple, just get her a fossil.
That being said, movado bold are nice watches. You may have to spend a little more.

Between that and the necklace, I could just return the necklace, buy a used Rolex and add on an emerald and diamond bezel, spending just "a little" more.

If she already has a watch do you really think she wants another one? I have two, but only because one was my mother's. I wear my Rolex daily and my mom's watch when I think about it and know I am not going to have to have my hands in water.

Michael Kors may make shitty watches, but that doesn't change the fact that women DON'T CARE!
He's looking for a watch in the $300 range, you ain't getting a Movado for that price.
Any $300 watch is gonna be a shitty watch IMO. That's why I have a Tag and an Omega.

Get her a micheal khors if that's what she wants. $200 for a watch isn't going to get you anything better quality and she'll be happy with it from a "fashion" perspective. Yeah its a fossil, but whats the difference if it makes her happy. I got my wife one, it lasted a year, but I'll be damned if she didn't love it.
