Sorry. Had a TD hotbox session with S and Paul Allen. They told me not to open the door but I couldn’t breathe.

Call the fire department.

Gets the hoses out. We have bayous, rivers, and creeks everywhere. We should be able to put out fires better than anyone.

Every time I go to Trader Joe’s is full of blue haired lesbians with armpit hair, super buff homosexual men, soyboy skinny homosexual men, and maybe two cute girls.

Next time, you can maybe add gang violence to round out the experience. Someone on Reddit posted that his truck got hit by 3 bullets in a shootout between other vehicles near Trader Joe’s at 2pm yesterday.

I’m going to say the fires near Amite, McComb and Fords Creek is what we are getting. That is the correct wind direction where I’m at and it’s blowing pretty good.

Smell it in Mid City.

Looks like Superior is planning on churning out a ton of overpriced quesdillas for brunch.

There's been several shootings at the B Quik right there on Perkins over the past several years. Valley Park is right near that area and it's a total shithole. You are never more than a mile or so from the hood in BR.

Looks like it’s blowing out of the west and WNW for me, which would make it possibly be smoke from the west Louisiana fires.

WAFB just posted this:

“ EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH, La. (WAFB) - After East Baton Rouge Parish residents reported smelling smoke Sunday morning, August 27, authorities addressed the situation.

At this time, firefighters said they do not believe any smoke or smell in East Baton Rouge Parish is coming from a fire burning within the parish.

According to a spokeswoman with the St. George Fire Department, crews responded to numerous calls of reported smoke. However, the calls have all been unfounded.

A burn ban remains in place across Louisiana, and authorities warned that anyone caught violating the burn ban will face consequences. Click here to read the full text of the burn ban.”

St Charles Parish:
quote:

The EOC and 911 have received numerous calls parish wide about a smoke smell, haze, and ash. There are no reported fires in St. Charles Parish at this time and there are no visible plumes of smoke from our EOC tower cameras.

It is possible that what people are experiencing is from the large wildfire in Southwest Louisiana. It is not uncommon for smoke to travel hundreds of miles.

Update: US National Weather Service New Orleans Louisiana has confirmed that due to the temperature inversion and winds out of the west, this is from the fires in Beauregard. The same conditions will occur tomorrow. We appreciate the communities vigilance in reporting this occurrence and remind everyone that we are under a statewide burn ban due to the extremely dry and hot conditions.
