I need some help with a motion sensor flood light outside

I have an outdoor motion sensor flood light on the back porch, nothing fancy, one of those $20 things you can find on Amazon. It's mounted to the ceiling of the back porch.
Anyway, it won't come on now. I replaced a bulb which was burnt out and for some reason, it came on yesterday during all that rain. So there's obviously electricity going to it.
I got up there and switched the switch on the motion sensor itself to "test" and walked around out in the yard and it still wouldn't come on.
So I got up on a ladder and took the plastic housing, for the motion sensor only, apart and it came on when I messed with the wires.
Is there a way to just bypass the sensor? I assume the light would stay on all the time, I don't know of any wall switch that controls it.
Or would it be easier just to replace the whole thing with a new flood light/motion sensor fixture?
Thanks in advance, electric gurus.

Time to upgrade. Even the good ones don't seem to work well for long

I would protest it.

I had to replace the same kind of cheap lights on my house every year or two. Six years ago I went to Teche Electric and bought 3 lights with a 10 year warranty at about $110 each. Recently one went out and it was replaced free of charge. The other two still work just fine.

motion sensors go bad. Now the bad news. The sensor cost more to replace than the whole 20 buck fixture.
Buy a new 20 dollar fixture, replace and move on.

RAB Motion Light
Have two of them mounted on garage unprotected from the rain. 3 years and no problems.

Found your problem. Either spend another $20, rinse and repeat every few months or buy a quality one.
