I gained a little weight and my jos a bank trash doesnt fit anymore which is probably a good thing. I never liked the way their shirts and suits fit.

Where should I go for better fit and better quality without spending 2500+ per suit?

Oh and I'm not quite a fatty yet. I'm 6'4" and 225

Eta: what cut should i look at? I know I can't fit in slim lol

Around the beginning of the year, Brooks Brothers will have some sales (usually one for $600-800 or maybe 2 for $1200). They are high quality but not the very top of the line or anything.

Some ad on FB had $39 suits with comments being fairly positive. Might be good in a pinch if anyone can remember the name.

Have bought my last 2 and 2 sport coats from Suit Supply.

If you have a good tailor, you cannot be the quality for the price. WSJ had an article awhile back and the SS suits compared to the $2k brands.

No thanks required

Edit: If you're an LSU fan, look at the solid purple.

On the lower end, Spier & Mackay is solid. The new "Neapolitan fit" is pretty great. You can do much worse. For each style, they have slim fit and contemporary fit. I find Spier & Mackay is on par with Suit Supply, but less expensive and more classically styled.

If you want to spend more, I could offer a few other suggestions. I like Eidos, but you need to be careful, as some of the cuts are pretty awful.

All muscle? If so, you're a typical OT'er. Well done.

Alton Lane. Quality clothes and their suits start at around $600 or so.

Athletic cut should look good on you.

Go to Dillard's.

If you are in the New Orleans area, check out Luca falcone. They got me in a custom made suit for about a grand. It’s well made and fits perfectly, would get another.

The day after Christmas Brooks Brothers will put all their suits on sale. Go to a store and get fitted. You can get nice stuff for less than $1,000/suit.

Honest question, if the average American adult male is 5’10”, how is everyone on this site 6’2”-6’4”?
