Guess I took my "incorrect bourbon swagger" in a different light than you intended it.

then you specifically asked me to view the rest of your post. which I obliged.

every single statement you made "as fact" was wrong.

I began that post with the words "I think". Which part did I say was "fact"?

now you are being passive aggressive. again, i'll point out, that is why nobody likes you.

Plenty of people like me and even say as much. you and the IM thread crowd don't. And to be honest, I really don't give a frick.

(BTW. You say "nobody likes me" as though it were "fact". We both know it's not. I'll be waiting on you to admit you're wrong. )

Can't believe I just read through this whole shiteshow...

Broke, 1 suggestion...at your local Costco, there may be a bottle of Booker's 25th Anniversary. Think it sells for $85 or so at Costco.

Extremely high proof bourbon, so you will want to cut it slightly with a cube or splash of water.

If you really want to mix with sprite, I'd just go for some Charter.

I think it's the other way around. To be a Bourbon a whiskey has to be produced in Kentucky. If it's made anywhere else, like Tennessee for example, it cannot call itself a bourbon. This is why Jack Daniels is called sour mash whiskey instead of bourbon.

ETA: I don't think it's actually a "law" that bourbon is made in only Kentucky, rather more of a tradition in the industry.

no it has to be made in Kentucky to be called Kentucky Bourbon.

What makes a bourbon ar these things.

Produced in the United States
Made from a grain mixture that is at least 51% corn
Aged in new, charred American White oak barrels
distilled to no more than 160 (U.S.) proof (80% alcohol by volume)
Entered into the barrel for aging at no more than 125 proof (62.5% alcohol by volume)
Bottled (like other whiskeys) at 80 proof or more (40% alcohol by volume)

LINK For some reason wiki didnt have the italics.

When I saw the topic and where it was posted I knew it would be some interesting reading...and yall did not disappoint

As said if mixing with sprite get some cheaper stuff...probably most anything would work becasue your masking it with sprite. Do yourself a favor tho and try one mentioned with a little water or on the rocks if its needed.

Yeah I remembered in the past seeing and hearing discussion about what can and cannot be called Bourbon and knew there were certain criteria that had to be met. I thought I'd remember hearing that one of the requirements was that it be made in Kentucky.
