What makes HEB "significantly" better? Their frosted flakes are better than wal mart frosted flakes? So much so that you're willinf to go twice as far and pay more for?

My bad. I'll pat the guy on the head for judging my personal choices. Besides that troll in response to him, I passed no judgement on his choice to go there.

Better quality meat, fresher fruits and vegetables, more selections in general, better beer, better wine.

I get most of my groceries elsewhere. But certain items like toiletries, etc...you can't beat Walmart price. I don't give a shite who shops there, or that liberals hate them. I'll save a few bucks getting toothpaste, shampoo, OTC meds and stuff at Walmart. Does nothing to my self esteem.

I will say most Wal-Marks I have been in are shitholes but the one in North Scottsdale is dope like a Whole Foods. I should go and video it to trip everyone on here out.

Fair enough. Those are items I'd probably buy at rouses.

Dude Walmart produce is a joke. That's why I don't shop there or target.

Nice qualifier, Rodge.

How many HEBs are there in Alaska? In Texas, HEB has the best selection and best prices, and it's not Wal-Mart.

I would hope this all made sense to you, but then again, you shop at Walmart, so the expectations are pretty low.

There's always that pretentious asshat that loves to spend more money and time feeling snooty getting basic amenities and groceries besides produce and meat that he could've gotten cheaper.

But to be fair, I actually buy my meat and produce at local mom and pop stores like Harvest in dutchtown, Walmart is horrible in that regard. But everything else is the same stuff at Walmart and more expensive stores. I'd rather save my money.

The Wal-Mart here in Smyrna, TN is pretty awful. Have never had a pleasant experience. Shelves aren't stocked, lines backed up, and people really don't know how to push a cart.

I avoid it all together now. Glad I'll be moving shortly....

I get my meat from a local butcher shop (you can't beat Jerry's meat) and produce from Safeway. Other stuff I get at Costco.

There are some things I can't find at nearly the price of Walmart though, mainly OTC drugs and toiletries. Occasional auto stuff, and bought one of my firearms there as well. I don't mind shopping around to save a buck.

If 95% of the shipping list is full of things that are higher quality elsewhere, I'm not wasting time saving pennies to go get the other 5% elsewhere. It's not wanting to feel superior. It's choosing quality and convenience over going to Walmart to save 15 cents on a box of serial or 35 cents on deodorant.

Do you go across town to save 5 cents per gallon of gas? Or fill the car with everclear because it's 10 minutes closer to get it than gas?

It all depends on where the Walmart is located. I've seen the current governor and Karl Pilkington in mine. There aren't many people who would show up in a "people of walmart" pictorial.

For New Years resolution, I went all of 2014 without using a Wal-mart and I must say I was a more enlightened person. A lot of good local shops around without the hassle.

Come on, man. There's only like 78 people in Alaska.
80, if you count Larry Csonka.
