This is the Barbershop I got to. Some of the stuff you hear in there is hilarious. Anytime you walk into a barbershop that has a stuffed bear in the corner, the biggest stringer of bass I've ever seen, and autographed Golden Girls posters going back decades you know you're in the right place.

Sitting in an old school barber shop I don't normally use 5th in line so I'm just listening.

We just went to frick the French, that Putin frickhead, obligatory Les Miles doesn't know what he is doing, the VA takes 8 months for a fricking appt, they want you to register a gun so they can come get you, someone is giving Donald Trump a billion dollars to quit, Hillary is a fricking liar.
This place sounds fricking awesome -- I need to check it out

hope they get a spike in business from this thread

yea you can't fault the decor. I just think the guys in there are annoying, plus anyone but Frank's work is subpar IMO.

The street before going under the Perkins Overpass. Same lot as Ivar's.

I have been to just about every traditional barber in Baton Rouge, and Troy is by far the best in my experience. Plus, his memory is incredible. After one visit he was genuinely interested in the conversation we were having the last time I was in there.

They get a lot of LEO and military, which is part of the reason I like the atmosphere in there (he's got shadow boxes covering his wall of patches from every LEO and military organization around).

Some of the best laughs ive ever had have came from the barbershop. Spent a lot of Saturday's in the barbershop ALL DAY. Dont talk about the day before Easter or Thanksgviving.

When I was a kid going to Broadmoor Barber Shop Rod Couvillion would cut hair and book bets over the phone in English and French. Never stopped cutting had his scissors going with phone cradled. Had a Camaro SS, white with red stripes. Talking to one of his girlfriends onetime and a gunshot over the phone. He dropped his shite and ran out and the guy next to him finished my hair. She was using his car one day, got pissed at him and shot a few holes in it. Got run out of LA for a few years for booking. Came back years later and cut at Beau James on Perkins. He's dead now but man he was a cool cat and a damn good barber.

He and Jimmy must have got along well since he spoke French.

ETA: Sad to say, Jimmy is gone now too.
