Stupidest concept ever....talk to realtor who talks to another realtor who talks to the seller/buyer...then they take your money for being a medium for communication. frick these people

Not sure why they’re needed with the internet.

Why are you using one? Sold my last home without one. Got home appraised and sold for appraised value.

Depends on your situation.

Realtors can be extremely helpful in the right situation.

Not all situations.

Mine is awesome.

Find a better realtor that will work for you.

There are times to use them and times not to use them. If you can’t figure this out then sounds like you’re the idiot.

if you are trying to buy a house, contact the listing agent directly. Make him/her an offer at 4% commission where you pay the extra 1%

Yeah? Aren’t you in real estate?

This was back when homes didn’t sell for more than appraised value.

My realtor got me into a home in a fantastic neighborhood for $89 a square foot.

Home appraised for 40k over what I paid for it, was pretty stoked to get such a great deal in this market

My last two situations netted me far more than I would’ve gotten myself even after the realtor fee. I’m not saying they are all good, but mine was and helped me big time.

Honestly, I’ve had realtors who were flat out awesome. Worked deals from top to bottom and saved us big money.

Hate the game not the player.

Maybe 10-20 years ago they were needed and also might be needed for relocation for job type of transactions. I agree if moving to another house is same town there is nothing a realtor does that I can't do online except talk to other realtors.

They serve zero purpose in today’s technology.

You should definitely interview realtors before using your cousin or friend that happens to be a realtor part time.

It's really the same group of people.

Sales people. Jewelers, Car dealers, realtors, software salesman....just a few I've had multiple experiences with and many experiences of them straight up lying.

Sales in general incentivizes certain behaviors that non-sales people find gross.

I generally default to "they're lying to me" position until I can confirm otherwise.
