Yes, my friend in the virigin islands had the home and all possessions destroyed. Slept on a cot in a red cross shelter for a week or so. I hate that the OP was inconvenienced.

I keep it simple..Patio set, BBQ pit, Garbage can and make sure the grass is cut. In Metairie around 2 PM we had a band of rain go through and that was pretty much it for Nate. The TV coverage was over the top. I am talking about "This is a serious storm and all hell is going to break loose" chicken little attitude. Don't get me wrong, I am thankful that it was a shoo shoo of a storm. David Bernard admitted that they knew it was not that bad of a storm from the beginning. I guess it's to get people's attention?

hyperbole

It's like the OT gets stuck on a word and everybody tries to use it, even if it's out of context.

While not humorous, it is also not insulting to anyone. Statements like that are what's wrong this country.

I didn’t get the vibe that he’s upset at all.

You seem upset because you think he’s upset.

Actually, the way Mitch the Bitch and his incompetent lap dogs were reacting to this sent red flags up in my mind that they had zero confidence in and were seriously sweating the condition of the pumping system and the citys ability to manage the rainfall and flooding. They dodged a political bullet that with all his other horrible missteps might have been the nail in the coffin of his future political aspirations.

Glad your table survived baw

I had to pick up three sticks from my drive way

Eta

For the other posters that can't found the humor in this, with all the bad stuff that has happened to Louisiana I am sure glad we can laugh after a strong storm comes through. It's not often we are that fortunate in this state to to just get on by.
