Very well established. I have so many Copepods in my sump, Chaeto Algae, and a bunch of those small starfish. Also have a bunch of small sponges growing in my overflow. I actually had to remove my protien skimmer once I put the Chaeto in my sump.

Really? I heard many people kill to have them established in their tank. Right now I have around 12 that I can see. I only feed with high grade flake food.

I get all my stock from Louisiana Fish Store off Airline.

Those little star fish will multiply by the thousands. I always pull them out of my tank when I see one. Also,Reef2Reef is a great forum. Just don't go OT on there by accident.

I was told they are a great indicator of overfeeding. Easy to keep an eye on their population vs. feeding.

I've heard horror stories. All it took was one article comparing them to aiptasia and I was done. Ms.Scoob has turned it into a game searching for and plucking them from the tank. I don't know if they destroy coral or not but I'm not willing to take the chance. They multiply like crazy.

If you're cleaning algae off the glass every day you may be overfeeding.

I recently started feeding my fish every other day and the corals once per week.

I had one star show up hitchhiking on a zoa frag and in the past month we have probably pulled 10 from the nano tank.

Zoanthid coral

Frag is the term for a small piece that will grow over time.

That's crazy man. Sucks hearing different stories from different people regarding these things. I will keep an eye on them to see if they're getting out of control

It's weird because I can't keep zoas alive. I've got a bubble tip anemone, blasto, hammer, torch, frogspawn, and lobo.

I have frogspawn, Duncans, trumpet coral, zoos, ricordea, favia, acans, you name it. Everyone is doing well, but I can't keep fish longer than 4 months.

ETA: sorry to hear that Zach. Those are pretty neat little fish.

If you think you're gonna catch fish with a net in a reef tank, you really have no clue. Good trap by the way.
