I'm sure everyone in this thread will laugh it up when an ole miss or bama fraternity makes a joke about the recent BR floods.

I mean it is a little different when the hurricane is a future event and the floods or Katrina are historical, quantifiable disasters, but still a questionable comment.

No it isn't so quit trying to rationalize it. It's not really that funny or original and many people here lost their shite when the same type of joke was made about this area. They're only laughing now cause it's not about them.
Wait till a few weeks when Other schools are saying the same about this place and you'll see what I'm talking about

Agreed. Hurricane jokes should be fair game. If someone wants to go there, do it. She chose to go there.

When this storm kills some more folks I still hope she has the guts to keep joking though.

In all seriousness, is this really offensive? Pretty sensitive folks if so.

This place goes into full melt and triggered mode when fans have signs about Hurricane Katrina. But this is funny? Some of you want it both ways.

This. I knew a nawlins girl who said she would get anxiety attacks on the anniversary of Katrina because she had to evacuate. Get a fricking grip.

On a side note, how long does it take after a tragedy for it to be ok to joke about? Pearl Harbor? Holocaust? 9/11?
