I am gonna really miss summer

Sitting at the office and I can hear "Boys of Summer" playing through the shop. I always hated winter and cold weather, mainly because all my hobbies are warm weather hobbies or I enjoy them more when its warm. I even hated that cool snap we had last week. I honestly don't know what was worse the cool snap or the people coming up to me asking how I'm liking this weather. Give me long days with warm weather and warm water, that late afternoon time 6-8pm, golf in shorts, Trout fishing while wading, cutting the grass with no shirt.

Fall is my favorite time of year - cooler (but not cold) weather, college football, NFL football, and MLB postseason (no basketball).

Living in South Louisiana, I don't understand how someone can complain about winter down here. Light jacket weather is not cold weather. It gets legitimately cold for maybe 1-2 weeks a year, and even then it usually is only overnight.
The heat and humidity most of the year is often smothering. I don't know how anyone can prefer that over a few months of brisk mornings.

I love summer until July. Then can't wait till Sept/Oct. When my ship comes in I'm bugging out after the 4th, heading north, won't be back till middle of Sept.
