I didn't even see him when I was backing out. I didn't realize he was there until the mother screamed. I'm still sweating bullets.

Couldn't imagine doing that. Would probably shoot myself on the spot.

What was a baby doing in the path of a moving vehicle?

Need more info

Want to be mad at mother for having a relatively unattended baby in another person's driveway.

One of my dad's brothers died like that. He actually lived for a few years but eventually succumbed to complications from his injuries.

In your defense: the mother needs to do a better job of wrangling her kid.

I have tons of kids on my block and I've taken to backing into the driveway so I can see in front of me when I pull out. Too many careless kids and parents on my street.

shite sometimes there's only so much one person/mother can do. In the time it takes to sneeze, a kid can run out in front of a car. How about don't judge since you don't know the whole story.

It isn't too much to walk behind the car before you get in it to do a quick check. If you live in a neighborhood with kids it could be just a toy that someone left behind that would damage the car. Or it could be a baby.

If the parents were Bama fans you would have been doing the kid a favor.
