I-12 east is a parking lot on Tchefuncte bridge

A wreck on the bridge backed up traffic. May want to take alternate routes accordingly.

We used to hike on the cleared pathway when they were building that section of I-12. Some brave souls even jumped off the unfinished bridge until one girl jumped and dislocated her shoulder. I guess that was the first accident on that bridge.

Even without a wreck, the Tchefuncte Bridge on 12 remains fricked regardless

I guess that was the first accident on that bridge.
That section of I-12 is scheduled to be three-laned pretty soon. I’d assume from East of the US Hwy 190 intersection heading West past the LA Hwy 21 Exit.

From Madisonville/Goodbee exit to Hwy 1088 in Mandeville from my understanding. Wish they’d quit dragging their feet and get started on it

They will be expanding it to 3 lanes. They have the permits in.

Traffic is going to be so bad during construction. I feel bad for those poor souls who will have to endure that everyday.

Even better. When they opened the left lane on the eastbound side about 30 minutes ago to let traffic through, I saw a wreck on the westbound side so now that's backed up.

I jumped off the bridge in high school with a bunch of friends in the middle of the night. 1/2 of us who jumped suffered injuries. LOL. I broke my tailbone upon impact. Would not do again.

Traffic from the new airport terminal is backed up all the way to I-12 east? Damn, maybe the O-T was right about all that traffic.

It took me one hour to get from 1077 to Hwy 21 this morning on I-12 for one wreck.

Didn’t see any backup on the east bound side must have happened after I got of I12.
