I drive a shitload of miles weekly. So I got curious and started timing it. Factoring random traffic plugs and wrecks and left-lane-sitters and school buses on secondary roads I came to the conclusion that it all evens out within a very short amount of time.
Now I chill in the slow lane and get there at basically the same time without the stress and the risk.
Also-seems that speeders never take into account how shitty some drivers and vehicles are out there either. The amount of trust that you put in other drivers when you go 80 is never taken into account. Grandma hasn't bought a set of tires in ten years on that Hyundai.

They also have been writing tickets with radar in pop mode which is illegal.
Always ask to see the reading and make sure it is on convetional radar mode.

I frequently drive to NOLA and have been seeing them more and more. Last week they had about 8 cars pulled over at once.

Saw it this morning too, they had gotten a bunch of people. It seems like it's almost always eastbound, I rarely see them on the westbound side.
Edit: I noticed they had pulled a bunch of people just over the line into St. John, I guess as long as they light you up in St. James it's still legal?

Quota time. I NEVER go more than 5 over the limit at the end of the month.
I drove BR to NOLA yesterday afternoon and there were no cops giving tickets.

A friend sent me the speed trap picture when St John was catching folks at the base of the Gramercy-Vacherie Miss River bridge.
When the new sheriff (Tregre?) was elected, my friend said he began the speed trap scheme to fund his department's purchase of deputies' Ipads and new patrol cars.
It's basically a shameful money grab on their part.
