With three years in the making, I was expecting four lanes. All it got was a turning lane in the middle. Nice going AP

Four lanes would have been way too wide and taken too much property. Traffic flows MUCH better now. I have no idea why the frick you'd be disappointed, was a much needed upgrade

What rock were you living under? It was always gonna be 3 lanes.

Have you seen traffic in the morning? It flows like shite. That turning lane did absolutely nothing to help the traffic heading toward the interstate and Geismar.

Wasn't always the plan. Notice the 42 foot wide turning lane and the 4 foot bike lanes on BOTH sides of the road?

That cluster frick of a project took 4 years to go 3 miles and ruined a LOT of suspensions in vehicles over the years. I wonder what the payouts were when they left damned near the whole stretch scraped for a few days circa 2012, leaving literally hundreds of potholes(a ton of folks complained to get a temp pave job the next day).

74 from Bluff to 73 needs a median.

how did it take you three years to realize that it was not going to be 4 lanes?

Yes. That project had major set back after set back. Blame weather, contractors whatever. It was a big ole silly pants.
yielding a big ole underwhelming result. It will be 4 laned eventually. It's plenty wide enough.

Meh, I go down it every morning around 630. From that Capital one toward the high school and the interstate. Flows fine for me, sucks for you.

AP wanted 4 lanes with turn lanes in 18 months, DOTD said you'll get 3 in 42 months and like it!

Well, I go the other way dickhead; so no, it doesn't suck for me. I'm on 73 around 7 am and the traffic from Post Office road to the interstate is bumper to bumper. A turning lane does not fix this.
