Cheap arse shite.

I have had to replace Amana (Goodman) evaporator coils in both my units and my house is only 8 years old.

Goodman is a fine brand. No, not the best, but it's a good value.

Like others have said, it gets a bad reputation because it's sold to anyone and that means shitty installers install them and surprise, shitty installers means shitty installations

My father owns an A/C company, and also owns several rental properties. I've worked for his company on and off throughout the years whenever I've found myself needing employment (out of college, etc.).

What does my father put in all his rentals? Goodman
What do I have in my own house? Goodman

I was reading an article about AC's said Lennox was the best 15-20 years ago they used a different technology. but others caught up and are cheaper. Others use the same parts and technology and are easier to repair and get parts for.

said Lennox was overpriced and hard to get parts, but the most important thing over which brand was who installs it.

Goodman is typically considered "contractor" grade....that is why you see so many Goodman units installed in "spec" houses or "starter" homes.

Doesn't mean it a bad unit.....but there are better ones out there.
