Huge crowds at the Tour de France

There are thousands of people shoulder to shoulder at the Tour de France today. The spectators can run up and scream in the face of the competitors. France has as many cases per capita as the US. No mention or stories about the Tour de France in the US media.

The tour is fun as hell. Got to see two stages while I was there. They have a parade come through ahead of the riders and they throw out all kind of souvenirs and shite. Plus hot-arse, fit European women dancing on top of the floats.
Second stage I watched near mont ventoux and after the riders came through I walked down to a Cafe and watched the rest of the stage on TV.

It also looks like bars are open along the route. Wonder if they are below a 5% positivity rate.
Thought only dumb Trump supports and backwards hicks from the South are stupid enough want to open bars and have spectators at sporting events. The demands to "shut it down" don't have anything to do with the election or funding because the rest of the world is shut down.

There’s people here that want to stay in this state of Covid forever. It’s really sad. Not only do they want to, but want to force everyone else to as well.
