in your case, one factor is sq footage. that is split 50/50.
utilities is close to 60/40, but not heat unless one of them is home more.
not electricity unless one of them runs the A/C more than the other two.
water is 60/40, garbage pickup, TV, internet wifi all per capita, 60/40.
when possible, I go for
TO EACH ACCORDING TO THEIR NEED, FROM EACH ACCORDING TO THEIR MEANS.

Rent pays for space. Since the couple is getting half of the space, they should pay half of the rent. They can divide their own share however they want. You get the other half so you pay the other half.
Utilities is split by person because it's equally used on average.
