How would you react if your child wanted a tattoo?

Tattoo seem so common place now. More and more teenagers, including females seem to have them, many with their parents' blessing or even as a gift. Assume we are talking still in high school. What if it was your son? Daughter?
What if he or she came home with one before even getting your opinion? For the record there are no age requirements in Louisiana, but I believe a parent must consent and be present.

What does this have to do with white people?

No one has ever not hired anyone because they don't have a tattoo. Plenty of people have not been hired because they have a tattoo. It's the equivalent of naming your kid Brayden or Jaxton.

I'm cutting the daughter off if she comes home with a tramp stamp.

I'll tell em when their young, if you ever come back to the house while you live under my roof with a tattoo, I get to take you back to the shop and have them tattoo whatever I want onto you wherever I want it.

High school... I'd be angry. College do as you please but don't get it on your neck/face.

Told my kids if they got a tattoo I'd erase it off of them. They told me they were permanent and couldn't be erased. I told the after enough erasing and removal of enough layers of skin they'd eventually be erased.

I know it's common for guys to get tattoos in the Navy, but I have been extremely shocked at how many of the females are getting sleeves, random tattoos on their forearms, and some even have tattoos on their chest... All I can think of is their future grandchildren saying "sweet chest piece grandma!"

Jeez we got some serious grumps in here. If my kid wanted a tattoo I'd just try to make sure they did not get it on a whim. Take some serious time and thought before getting it done because it will be there forever. I would also make sure they understood the pros and cons of getting a tattoo and potential consequences.

There are a lot of bad choices that can leave you personally satisfied temporarily.

When they move out, they can do whatever they want. But, not under my roof

Non sequitur.
They were raised right, this issue never came up.
If you let the village raise your child, expect these kinds of issues.

I have some inconspicuous tattoos. They bring me a great deal of personal satisfaction. Each one reminds me of some good times in my life.
