Mine did that for two days. As soon as I let it sleep in my bed, it slept until 10 am.

It slept in my bed ever since. Lol.

This is why I never got a dog. I’ve heard it’s like having a child.

No wonder we have a mental health crisis in this country and people are tired and miserable.. 3am isnt a wake-up time , it is a bedtime .

Where, in what I wrote, did I say anything about being tired or miserable?

Everyone is different, whether due to work, habit, babies, dogs, or other.

I wake at 3am, out the door for work by 4:30am, back home usually by 4:30pm, and in bed by 8:30 pm. It is my routine.

Benefit is I only work Mon - Thurs and have a 3-day weekend every weekend. I sleep in on those days, but
sleeping in for me is about 5 - 5:30am.

I am perfectly fine with my routine. Whatever routine other people have, makes no difference to me.

Let it come over to the bed, act really quiet then yell at it when it gets close to you scaring the shite out of it.

I did this to my wife’s dog when we got married and she slept till like 7-730 after that.

Otherwise just let it whine at 5:45 for a couple of weeks. It will absolutely adjust over time.

If you have a special couch for sexual congress with your gal pal, I agree, the dogs need to respect that and should be in another room when in use out of respect for the two of you.

Both dogs and kids can be controlled. First of all, don't get a POS dog breed. Don't adopt from a pound / shelter. Buy from a good breeder after checking references.

As for kids, yeah when they are really little they need constant care. But as soon as they can get around, stash some snacks for them and show them how to turn on the TV so mom / dad can get some rest on the weekends.

Keep a spray bottle by the crate. When she whines in the morning, walk out and spray her in the face. Then walk back to bed. You may not even be able to go back to sleep at that point but do it anyway. Because you've let this go on for far too long, it will be a while before it learns. Then you let her out when you want to let her out. I had a dog many years ago that slept in bed with us and was fine, until having kids, then we made her sleep in a crate. Difficult with an older dog that is used to sleeping with you, but the blanket idea helped, and the spray bottle.
