Interesting article on how for profit Law schools prey on black and brown students. (the students could do better on their exams too)
Couldn't agree more. Play the game within the game.

The best thing any historically black college could do to “disrupt” exclusionary legacies in legal education would be to arm its students with the very information from which they have been excluded, information that would help them get into good schools — or at least keep them out of predatory ones. Anything less is a hustle.

If you can't make the scores on the LSAT to get into a decent law achool, maybe you shouldn't be a lawyer

You do realize the law school admission standards are set waaaay lower for black students at elite schools right? I'm talking 10 points on the LSAT lower. Every available resource is out there for black students interested in a legal career. It boggles my mind the amount of students of all races who jump into law school without doing the most basic research or LSAT prep.

So the premise is black and brown folk aren't smart enough to spot a scam. Nice.

Anyone in this day and age who is "duped" into a predatory law school or any type of school is a grade A moron. You can research literally everything pertinent about a school in five minutes. There's no excuse for being ignorant of a school's rep or statistics.

A black kid with good grades and an LSAT north of 150 pretty much has their pick of where they want to go

You could score a 143 on the LSAT choosing C each time, no exaggeration.

Is the LSAT a barometer of whether you'll be successful/sufficient lawyer or not? Not a lawyer

And the stats from the school in AZ about only 25% passing the bar the first time is on part with Southern.

For all black students? I have white friends that scored how "black" students scored and they got into top 10 schools.

You assign color to your imaginary friends? Weird.

You have white friends that scored below acceptance standards yet got into top 10 schools?

Any law school with less than 50% bar passage should lose its accreditation.

I think you're underestimating how much having an affluent parent or mentor is. Having an voice of reason and a person that has been through it mentor you has been statistically proven to be advantageous .

They need to go to a real school, pass the bar, and the world is their oyster. Never so much opportunity.
