When I did internet dating, I seem to remember a blind chick(no idea how she made a profile) and a deaf chick. Maybe try that out

Does your wife have any single women in the workplace that y'all could set him up with. Y'all go out together maybe to a crawfish boil or LSU baseball game.
yea we have tried that but no luck, it's really hard to set a blind man up...

he would work if he could , when we go places I have to walk in front of him and tell him left/right.....simple things like having to hand him salt /peeper when go out to eat.....

The guy needs some training on how to live independently. A dog, or even a cane could work wonders. This is what we pay taxes for and I'm 100% in favor of some of my tax dollars going to help people like your friend. As another poster said, with independence/confidence, the rest will start falling into place.

Know a late 50's blind man that is close with the family. He ended up getting a date, but not sure how. Just met her through people in town. She wasn't the most attractive but I guess it doesn't matter if you're blind....

ETA: They stayed together for awhile too.

However we might look at it, it's imperative he doesn't look at it as a disability.

My retarded uncle had 2-3 long term GFs... There's someone for everyone if your standards are in check.

Reminds me of a documentary I saw recently. There was a dude who wasn't right in the head. Just really off. He has lived with his dad his entire life and never held a job for mental reasons. In the documentary, he knows a girl who isn't a 10 (way overweight) by most men's standards but way over this dude'a head. He proceeds to tell the girl he wouldn't be with her if she was the last person on earth. I don't think any girl bar extreme bitchiness should ever have to hear that and I lost all sympathy for him despite him probably not knowing better.

This. If he doesn't get out there and have a life of his own then he should be very suspicious of a woman who wants to date him. I'd say that about a sighted man too, btw.

Lack of sight is a big hurdle to overcome but that's nothing compared with major social anxiety.

Dude a guy I hangout with everyday is blind.. Just recently broke up with his girlfriend.. First one he's had in a really long time.. Anyway the way he met her was by the best wingman in the world.. Me.. So I met her ask her to play pool then invite her to another bar.. Then hop out of the car I'm driving at a red light to ask her if she partook.. So go back to the house.. Leave and go to another bar.. I "accidentally" left him there.. And I texted him to remind him to get her number.. So naturally he blames me for their breakup

Any reason two blind people couldn't date? Would have that in common.

Just a thought.
