How small is too small r.e. watches

I ordered a sweet blue-faced Seiko 5 from Amazon last week for a particular event I was attending(it didn't come in in time, so I haven't worn it yet). I think I got the link from a thread on here. A $75 watch that looks like a million bucks
I loved the look of that combo and picked up a pretty cheap alligator strap that looks like that Hodinkee for like $5.99. However, watch is only 36 mm and looks tiny as frick. All of my watches are 40-44 mm and this thing--as pretty as it is--just seems puny(twss). Am I just programmed for the bigger face or is 36 mm just not acceptable for a grown man? I can't decide if I should send it back or not.
Preferably I would prefer a sleek, dark-blue, clean faced automatic that's around 40 mm with a 20 mm band, but I can't find anything similar to the Seiko 5. Suggestions on the size and potential alternatives would be appreciated.

A watch must cost 1000$ to brag on it on here.

Depends on how fat you are, but a datejust is 36mm. I wouldn't go smaller than that. A 44mm watch is big. Any bigger and only flatbills should be wearing them

another fricking "how do y'all like my watch" thread, Jesus h Christ, you like it, wear the sob and asked all your guy friends for their opinions, that should get interesting if your friends are honest...

I'm not bragging. Quite the contrary.
Where have you been, a-hole?

I'm not fat and my wrists aren't big, but it still looks small. (So does the watch). What's a datejust?

I agree. I rounded up. I have a simple 43, but the rest are 40 or 42.

36 is too small. 40mm is perfect, but that's a fairly modern watch size for this style.

Wtf is the deal with Dudes on here asking other dudes about watches?
Or clothes in general. Aren't you "men" confident enough to wear whatever you like?
Im by no means a fashion expert, but I give no fricks what someone else thinks of my choice in Watch or Jeans, etc.... i wear what I like.

It was the standard like 50 years ago. My watch is 38mm, and it's comparatively small. Compared to current styles 36mm is very small and heading towards being a women's watch. But it's all on what you like. I imagine that it might have more of a vintage feel being that small.

A. Watches can be kind of a hobby. Some people around here like collecting them.
B. Sometimes it is nice to get recommendations on clothes or whatever brands may be good quality. This goes for just about every product.
Some people are snooty and judgemental, but they're like that about every subject around here.

No one with a $1,000 watch writes the value "1000$".

Thanks for clarifying your title. I fo' sure thought this was going to be a penis size thread. I never participate in those.
