It probably depends on the watch.

That might not be far off what's normal. Who did the quote come from? Did you send it to B&M?

You can always take the watch to any watchmaker and get him to give you a quote. Choose your crystal. I think B&M have a lot of domed crystal which would be fine. I would probably stay away from stuff that will get scratched easily like Hardlex, acrylic etc. But that's just me. I don't know that you have many options now that B&M wanted $1300

I have never paid over 50 bucks. Without even trying hard to look, the most costly B&M crystal is around 85£ from the first shop that popped up. I can see why you are broke. That is around $120 redneck bucks

I think that's what B&M actually quoted him. He's going to get a full service with that deal. He can tell them he only wants the crystal change. Some do that, some require a service. The crystal is really only $50-$300. That's why I asked him the model. I can source a crystal probably and he can have a watchmaker put it in.

See my comment above. And I don't know that he wants to send his watch to the UK to get a crystal replaced. I wouldn't. And I'm rich as frick. That's why I chose the "broke" name. Because it's anti me. Rich like a mother fricker.
