My wife and I are pretty hermetic. It's great. Having an active social life after college is one of the most overrated things in life I feel.

In my daily routine I prefer little interaction. When I'm off work and wound up I like to socialize.

Right now I'm off this week and skiing by myself. I'm perfectly comfortable with it. (Yet I'm talking to strangers on the Internet, so I guess that counts as interaction)

Completely disagree. How is having friends overrated?

None really. I just don't care.

Lady Gaga sums it up perfectly for me...

I'm definitely okay on my own, by myself. I'll get a little stir crazy the more and more I'm not connecting with other people, but I am okay with my alone time.

That's me. I tell people that my life philosophy can be summed up with five letters: IDGAF. I really don't like that about myself. Unfortunately, though, it's true.

Is the OT considered human interaction?

I assume most of you are human.

Yep, it sucks. I attribute it to a life of video games and TV. So much high level stimulation that reality can't compete and I grow ever bored by it.

I was referring to in person interaction in the OP, but I understand this perspective.

I find that in about 90% of social situations I would rather be at home alone. I don't appreciate how much I enjoy my alone time until I'm out of town at a wedding reception or some bullshite

Outside of the wife and kids not much at all. I'll give a head nod if I know you but chances are I'm trying to avoid conversation if at all possible, nothing personal I'm just not a people person.

studies show that people who like to socialize tend to be more intelligent than people like you & me.

Less and less the older I get.

Wiser and very particular who I trust to go out with these days. Not everybody can hang; I've noticed not everyone you assume has your back actually does.

I'm of the mind whoever I'm with, I ride or die with the people in that group.

I don't like hanging with dumbasses that put me in a situation where it alters my life over some dumb shite, and certainly don't want to hang with someone who would flee at the first sign of trouble and abandon the crew if we run into it by chance

Really? I find the opposite to be true in my personal experience.

You are the younger generation. Life is better with more human interaction but can also present more drama. Oh nevermind, facebook takes care of that for the younger generation.

It's a basic personality type that has nothing to do with generations. Smh.

I am an introvert. A lot of human interaction tires me. I don't like it. My father and a lot of my family is the same way. It's hard to quantify. Due to necessity it is never possible, but I could go a whole week without directly interacting with people and be fine. I do like to keep up with a handful of friends and family though.

Had a friend once that would want someone around even if just sitting around watching TV, I found it strange.

Other than my wife and daughter, none. I can go to the camp for weeks without cell phone or internet and be perfectly content.
