How mu\ch does it cost to go skiing in colorado?

Turnkey cost?
I'm talking about flying from NOLA to colorado.
Going to breckenridge and skiing, 5 days lodging at a decent place. This is for 6-8 people. Price per person?

It depends on the resort. Anywhere from 800+ per person I would guess. Depending on what type of lodging you get.

DO NOT GO TO BRECKENRIDGE. You will freeze your arse off. Keystone is one mountain over and MUCH better.

I suggest checking out each individual resorts website. There are some awesome deals right now. Ski resorts are going to be hurting this season.

breck has a 10x better night life and restuarants. keystone has got diddly shite for that.

and breck has more skiable areas.

But yeah it is cold.

I actually wouldn't choose either one to go to. Not in my top 5 places to go.

Don't know much about skiing but, how much colder could it really be just 1 mountain over?

Breckenridge is windy as hell. The windchill is what gets you.

I'd like to revise: I'm going with some people who like to get fricked up (including me). What place should i go to?

I'm going to Denver over the break and staying with friends. What's the best/closest place to go skiing ?

And for that matter, what else should I do while im there? My buddy has only lived there for a couple months and hasn't figured it out yet because he's been too busy with work.

Last year I went to Winter Park for 4 days. Costs me about $1,000.

The only time I went skiiing years ago, it was to CB. And it was pretty fun. Of course, I don't know much about the nightlife and shite because I was like 10 when I went.

re: How mu\ch does it cost to go skiing in colorado?
Really depends on WHEN..

I make about 3-4 ski trip a year
Im going to Steamboat early next month

Airfare from NOLA to Denver via Southwest (I have skiis and boots to fly so the 2 free checked bags really helps) = 230 after taxes

Im staying with some friends at the base so thats free but generally I would expect about 110 a night eary season and up to 200 a night depending on the place at high season.

The cost of skiing is high though. Steamboat has some of the higher lift tickets and its 75 early season 95 main season pp per day. That doesnt include equipment rentals at about 40-55 a day. (Check out some rental shops in the ski town which are generally much cheaper)

Overall I would say you can expect about 1000-1200 per person. Depending on lodging and location.

My favorite 10 CO resorts are:
1. Vail
2. Steamboat
3. Aspen
4. Winter Park
5. Crested Butte
6. Copper
7. Telluride
8. Breckenridge
9. Keystone
10. Snowmass

If you like to party then Aspen is the top in CO and maybe entire country. Vail would be next in CO followed by Breckenridge.

Crested Butte is a nice mountain. They have some mixture of trails. Its a family resort. Been twice and my brother takes his family every year.

Breckenridge is the closest to Denver. Denver has a nice downtown to go out in. I mostly only go to ski though.
