Mother fricker.

I would be living in a garbage can if I had to pay that.

Luckily my company is paying the vast majority of mine. It's like $60 a month with a $4k deductible. I feel for y'all paying those asinine amounts of money for high deductible plans. I couldn't do it.

I'm now at $771/month. Single, self employed so I have no real option to Obamacare. Sucks. In Florida so costs are higher. And I just read that my insurance provider loses money on these policies so they are trying to discourage people from signing up. It shows in their terrible web site and horrible customer service. Just all around awesomeness that only the government can attain.

Single policy

5000 a year
2000 deductible
No copay you go strait to working on the deductible. I was amazed when I saw the costs this year.

That's Obama. My wife and I have a similar problem. Don't go to the dr, no kids, >500/month and $6000 deductible.... F'n absurd.

I don't think you know how that really works.

We pay about $130/month through my wife's employer for us and our daughter. They cover hers 100% and then something like 80% for family. We have a $1500/person deductible but a $2500 max out of pocket for the family. Pretty good plan if you ask me. I work for a much smaller company so I can't even get a plan for myself that is half as good for twice what it costs for me and our daughter on hers.

So what you are saying is that you'll never actually be able to use your health insurance unless you get in a head on collision or something.

Well you pay quite a lot for it, it's just built into your salary rather than deducted from your paycheck and itemized so you can see it.

We just had an increase at our company on health insurance. Went from paying $630 a month to $1000 a month for a POS plan for my wife and I + our child with $1000/$2000 deductible. Trying to figure out where I am going to come up with close to another $400 a month pisses me off. My Health insurance is almost as much as my mortgage!

I have a very similar plan. 625 a month and no copay. Basically, I'm paying for nothing. The other option was 925 a month for a copay and lower deductible. Took a gamble by paying the lower amount and hoping no one gets sick.

Zero. 3k family deductible and they put 2k in an hsa for us.

And people like to say you are paying for it with a lower salary, but it isn't hard to look around at comparable positions to see what their benefit package is. Our pay is still higher
