Went from just under $800/month to just over $800/month this year for my family plan.

It's not so much who your insurance is with vs what package your employer has with that company.

I'm HSA and pay 50 a month plus whatever I contribute.

Wife and kids are on BCBS Co pay type. 160 a month with 1200 deductible 5000 out of pocket.

Side question. What does it mean to meet the deductible and have a out of pocket max with co pays involved? Do I still pay co pays until out of pocket max is met but once deductible is met, just pay co pays only? Example would be if I had met the deductible, the anesthesiology bill for a surgery would be covered but the co pay for the hospital stay wouldn't.

About $500 a month for me, the wife and two kids. With a $4k deductible.

I stuck with what I had through cobra. I had top flight insurance. Covers everything. Thank god too. Got attacked walkin to my truck the other night. I was alone. Didn't have words with anyone at all. Didn't see anyone approach me. Think I got hit in the back of the head and then kicked.

Broken eye socket jaw and cheek.

I never believed there were scumbags out there like this but there really was nothing I did to deserve getting attacked. Not like I was talking shite to anyone or anything. Now I'm wired shut for 3 weeks

$185 every other week - this means most months I pay $370 a month, while some months I pay $555. Plus, I have an individual deductible of $3800 and a family deductible of $7000 before insurance pays 100%

You probably get employer contribution with that HSA huh?

I just contribute the minimum amount needed and rack up the employer cont.

I am like you, I never go to the doctor so HD is the way to go with the HSA
