The ones that were former Senators? A lot.

Nothing. Every time I stand in a lobby, I get thrown out.

1. I have no desire to be one.

2. What about the ones who have zero legislative experience?

3. The ones who just "became" one out of nowhere after doing something completely different right out of college?

It depends on if you're willing to kill a few people.

This is an obviously nonspecific question. Its like saying how much do baseball players make?

Well those that aren't professional make little.
Those that are professional usually make little.
That that play in the majors make more.
Those that play in the majors and are successful make a ton.

I imagine that is like lobbyists. Many make little to nothing. Then there are different levels of lobbyists. Local lobbyists don't do great. But they don't do it full time. State level people make more. Those on the national level make even more. Those few who are successful can make a ton.

Depends on the lobbyist. State? Federal? Runs the firm or is one of many on staff? Clients? Experience? Track record?

So to answer your question, about tree fiddy.

There aren't many who just become one, unless it grows out of being an industry expert or personal connections.

Incomes are all over the map.

Its public record. I worked for a lobby group for a bit, and it's required to list as a public record.

I only ask because I met a guy who was a football player (pro but not NFL) and has since become a lobbyist. When I met him, it was very hectic and wasn't the right place to ask a question like that.

My buddy who introduced me to the guy later told me he has some kind of personal connection. I was honstesly just curious as to how much you could make.

Sorry for any confusion.

Depends. I know some oil guys who make 200k-300k. I know a lady who owns a lobby firm representing various groups and she makes over a million a year. It depends on the client and how many clients you have.

It depends on the nature of the work.

Not really. The politicians who grant them their wishes are the ones that are killing the country. Unfortunately, many think that bringing more money to DC is the answer to the problem. To lobbyists, its like ringing the dinner bell. They'll descend on the capital in droves.

I worked for a lobbyist in Miami 2 summers ago. He made 7 figures but worked around the clock. He went to law school though.

Industry experience is much more important. Unions are big lobbyists here in JNU, most of them came up through the ranks.
