The standard dosage for oral Benadrylis 1 mg per pound of body weight, given 2-3 times a day. Most drug storediphenhydramine tablets are 25 mg, which is the size used for a 25 pounddog. Always double check the dosagebefore giving an over the counter medication.

A 50-lb dog would take 1 or 2. We've had dogs with allergies in the past.

Just give him some weed brownies instead. He’ll love the fact that you fed him chocolate, he won’t get hurt by it, and he’ll fall right to sleep

We got lucky. Our dog freaks the hell out on fireworks too and her vet prescribed low dose Xanax. Now she’s real cool and groovy.
