i used to drink 2-3 20oz every day before 12 oclock... until i had to go to the er with my blood pressure going crazy and heart racing.. never again

One of my workers drank 4 in one day. Had a heart attack that night. He is 5-11 weighs over 300 pounds.

Point of reference, I'm a paramedic. I'd imagine a healthy person would have to drink several of these before they did any real harm, but I did once code a 14 y/o girl after she drank one of those big Monster sized energy drinks. I don't remember the exact brand. Anyway, turns out she had some sort of previously undiagnosed congenital heart defect. Was in pulseless V-tach when I got to her. I lit her arse up with electricity. She ended up doing okay. But anyway, yea, the potential is there.

I am not sure why everyone in the military loves the damn things, but I have a decently funny story.
Woke up at forestry camp to get ready for a field trip. Buddy was angry because he didn't have any red bull for the day. He normally drank a 6 pack a day. So we all get in the van and he makes us stop at a gas station. This was the only one within 5 miles and the only one for 30 miles the way we were going.
So dude gets out and the gas station didn't have any Red Bulls. He didn't know what Four Lokos were, but just bought a bunch because he knew they were energy drinks. So lunchtime rolls around, he is drunk as frick, and falls asleep and out of his chair at Boise Cascade presentation in front of the big wigs at the plant. Funny thing is that he was all cracked out a half a hour before that

I've taken 2 5hr energies within a 3hr period. Couldn't tell if my heart had stopped or was beating that fast. I could see sounds. I worked like a fricking tank that day

I tried replacing my coffee with them last year when the weather first started to heat up and we were on an outside project at work.
First day or so, no problem. By the end of the week, explosive fireball diarrhea that would strike with no warning at all. If I would have pointed my arse up I could have shite on the ceiling.
I'll leave the energy drinks to the youngsters.
