Is it usually that dangerous? I haven’t been in probably 12 years. But it was fun back then.

gotta know someone with access to a rooftop downtown to watch from. Going to the levee is like walking through Mogadishu to watch fireworks.

Between the all gunshots and the fireworks going off, a lot of people probably wouldn't notice the difference between the two.

it’s legit a PR campaign to distract sheep from the skyrocketing crime rate increases, amongst other issues the city faces.

How they aren’t being called on this by a single media outlet blows my mind. Vaccination rates? Vaccination rates is your top concern in the Baton Rouge and New Orleans communities?

There is a rap concert at the River Center that night too. Anyone want to update their estimate?

I've decided that it's worthless trying to avoid becoming Battin Rudge. I'm planning on going down there and bagging three or four myself.

If you're worried about safety, but still want to bring the kids......

The show can be seen from either side of the Mississippi River, in downtown Baton Rouge or Port Allen.

FWIW, it's really not a bad crowd at all. Here's video from 2019:
