I lived in Houston. Hated it the first year then I found my places, got use to it and absolutely loved it

I don't know. Two decent size pine trees, and a crepe myrtle. My house was built in 2004 so that's probably about when they were planted.
Every house has at least two trees planted in the front yard by the developer. Either pine or oak. The trees are getting big enough that the neighborhood is almost leafy. In another few years it'll be even better. Just takes a while with new neighborhoods out here.
